Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure

How DrugCovered may earn compensation — and why it never affects our plan data.

FTC Compliant Last updated: January 1, 2026
Our Core Commitment

DrugCovered may receive compensation when you click certain links on this site. This compensation does not affect our plan comparisons, cost estimates, or rankings — which are based solely on publicly available CMS data. We are required by the FTC to disclose any commercial relationships that could influence content on this site.

1. What This Disclosure Covers

DrugCovered may earn revenue through:

  • Affiliate referral fees from Medicare plan enrollment platforms
  • Display advertising (including Google AdSense)
  • Cost-per-click (CPC) referral links to insurance-related services
  • Lead generation referrals to licensed insurance agents or brokers

This disclosure applies to the website drugcovered.com in its entirety.

2. Affiliate Relationships

DrugCovered participates in or may participate in affiliate programs with the following types of partners:

Partner Type How We May Earn Effect on Data

(e.g., eHealth, GoHealth)
We may earn a referral fee when you click a link and subsequently request a plan quote or enroll in a plan. None Plan rankings and cost estimates are calculated solely from CMS data, not from affiliate relationships.
Display advertising
(Google AdSense)
We earn revenue when ads are displayed to visitors. Ads are served by Google's automated system. None We do not control which specific ads are shown. Advertisers cannot influence plan data.
Insurance agent/broker referrals We may earn a fee when we refer a visitor to a licensed insurance agent or lead generation service. None Referred agents are independent. We do not recommend specific agents based on compensation.
Amazon Associates
(drugcovered-20)
If we link to products on Amazon (e.g., pill organizers, health-related items), we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases. None Amazon links are supplementary and do not influence plan comparison data.

3. What We Do Not Do

  • We do not accept payment from insurers to boost plan rankings or star ratings
  • We do not alter cost estimates or formulary data based on commercial relationships
  • We do not hide or demote plans that do not have affiliate programs
  • We do not sell leads to insurance companies without your knowledge
  • We do not share your personal information with affiliates (see our Privacy Policy)

4. How to Identify Affiliate Links

Where practical, affiliate links or sponsored content will be labeled with a visible indicator such as "Sponsored," "Partner," or "Ad." However, not every affiliate link carries an explicit label — this page serves as a blanket disclosure for the entire site.

Links to Medicare.gov and CMS.gov are always non-affiliate links to official government resources.

5. FTC Compliance

This disclosure is made in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials in advertising (16 C.F.R. Part 255) and the FTC's guidance on affiliate marketing disclosures.

6. Questions

If you have questions about our commercial relationships or this disclosure, please contact us at [email protected] or via our contact form.
